Festival Registration

There is no basic registration fee, only fees for individual activities. Participation in most activities is limited, and space will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis. There are 3 ways to register:

1. Use the on-line registration form and we'll send you confirmation by return e-mail.

2. E-mail SABO with your field trip reservations and we'll send you confirmation by return e-mail.

3. Call in your reservations (recommended only for registrations after April 21).

No matter how you register, please provide an e-mail address for confirmation. Once we have confirmed which trips are available, we will send you a PayPal invoice so that you can prey-pay your field trip fees (you do not need to be a PayPal member to take advantage of this service).

Waiting List: To be placed on the waiting list should a field trip fill before your registration form is received, you must check the box provided for each trip. Field trip fees will be collected only if a cancellation allows us to accommodate you. 

Field Trips

The Sonora overnight trip includes transportation. All other field trips require participants to meet the guide at the destination or trailhead.

Each field trip description is accompanied by codes indicating level of activity required of participants:

*A* = Little walking, ordinary outdoor footwear adequate

*B* = Some trail walking, sturdy shoes or lightweight hiking boots recommended

*C* = Extensive walking or hiking required.

Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, and and ample supply of drinking water are recommended for all field trips, sunscreen and a broad-brimmed hat for daytime trips. For all activities except hummingbird banding sessions and hummingbird open houses, we strongly recommend clothing in neutral colors to make participants less conspicuous to wildlife (no white, please!).

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• SABO reserves the right to reschedule, substitute, or cancel any activity for any reason.
• If it becomes necessary to cancel or change a field trip, we will notify registered participants as soon as possible.
• Refunds for pre-paid fees are refundable only if SABO cancels the activity.
